Meet Sam Cain:
A Local Leader with a Passion for Concrete
Sam Cain isn't just a name at Cain Construction - he's the driving force behind our commitment to excellence and innovation. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Sam's roots run deep in the local community, making him a true advocate for building a better future right here in our backyard.
With a legacy spanning over three decades, Cain Construction was founded by Sam's father, Mike Cain, back in 1981. As a young teenager, Sam spent his summers immersing himself in the family business, learning the ropes and honing his skills alongside seasoned professionals.
Sam's journey took him to Colorado State University, where he earned his degree in Construction Management in 2011. Armed with knowledge and ambition, Sam embarked on a career with North America's leading construction company, Kiewit, where he learned how to lead crews, schedule jobs and fortify his work.

But fate had other plans for Sam. After 35 years of success, Mike Cain made a pivotal decision to pass the torch to his son. In 2019, Sam seized the opportunity to take the helm of Cain Construction, embracing the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship with unwavering determination. He decided to move back to Colorado to work in and eventually purchase the family business.
Transitioning from a leadership role at Kiewit to hands-on work as a concrete laborer was no small feat for Sam. Yet, he recognized the importance of understanding every aspect of the business firsthand. With grit and perseverance, Sam immersed himself in the daily operations, learning from his father's expertise and paving the way for a seamless transition of leadership.
